I thought I'd introduce myself quick. I'm Onix, I'm not completely new to MUDs. I've been playing two different MUDs consistently for the past two years, so I expect to catch on quickly. Pretty sure the biggest difference between AR and another MUD I play is that AR seems to encourage PKing more.

Welcome welcome! Do post questions in the forums, there will be people answering you. Also, use the newbie chat channel in game to squeeze more info from the vets!!!

The PK aspect is definitely why I picked AR as well. Almost everywhere else they seem to be afraid of allowing PK.
