For a weapon's damage to be considered magical, such as in order to do damage to an invoker currently protected by the Barrier spell, does the weapon need to show the MAGIC attribute if you look it up in the Codex?

Are you asking about magical attacks by nature or by the temporary elemental enchantment? I should think both would apply.

My bad, if it's magical in the codex, it's magical in nature. I still should think a temporary elemental enchantment on a weapon would do the same.

Nearly every damage type that isn't a slash, pierce, or bash type is magical, i.e. flaming bite.
