Races that have a vuln or resist to charm, what does that mean? What is charm exactly?

Check spell descriptions, some of them are type 'mental (charm)'

I look at the charm thing as like inverse willpower. charm person is a complete takeover control of somebody's body. If you are really strong-willed you would better resist charm spells. Like elf paladin.

Right. But what exactly are charm spells? All mental spells? Or are there spells that specifically say 'mental (charm)' and I just haven't found any helpfiles that say exactly that yet? Or is it literally just charm person and that's it?

Oh I finally found them. I was checking the wrong kind of spells. Like the lingering affect ones, but they're the illusory damage ones that say charm.
