Deadfall and other gatherables

How do you gather deadfall wood?

What other gatherables for crafting and for lairs are there? How are they obtained?

There does not seem to be any helpfile for this sort of stuff and I'm struggling to just piece it together by myself. Idk if I'm just dumb or what.

I would encourage you to ask these questions in game. Most characters are willing to help. I'll give you a hint though: head to Emerald Forest for deadfall wood.
