Pixie Bards / Illithid Necromancer

Noticed that pixies are vulnerable to sound but can choose the bard class. Seems odd, wouldn't their songs hurt them? Speaking from a RP not technical perspective.

Also noticed that Illithids have a racial legacy for necromancy, but cannot choose to be a necromancer.

Further research show one has to be an alhoon, but there doesn't seem to be any info on how to become one.

Alhoons are only available to players who have elite status on their forum account, which is earned from getting a character into the Hall of Exalted.

Alhoons are part of a gatekeeping effort to keep me from breaking the world with time stop.

Seriously can we get a holiday window or something unlocking all races?

You can only have one (alhoon, vampire or tainted were ranger) so pick wisely sort of deal?

*please note there is a quest path to unlock two of the three.

Maybe a mirror world where Immortals have no influence, be careful that bizzaro world will have descriptions written as poems.

Also yea pixie bard is interesting rp wise but so is illithids weak to light, bending light for illusions.

Interesting/weird observation about pixie, but I think you have it backward.
More likely this - they'd rather just sing instead of talk because its less painful to listen to singing? e.g. listen to miley cyrus talking. Her vocal fry is really annoying, she sounds like a zipper sometimes.
