Ninja clan favorite weapons

There is probably an unseen benefit to a clans favored weapon, besides a clan skill requirement, but can those favored weapons act like a warriors favored weapon?

So there would be a visible difference in hit / dam for being in the right clan.

Changing ninjitsu does prompt with the favored weapon of the clan and associated skills.
