PVP 101: A new player's playerkilling guidebook

I've put together a guide that consolidated info from previous guides and improved the presentation and interactivity to help retain it. By the way, the activities in the guide do earn in-game "secrets" to your account so if you are interested in chasing that experienced explorer title, this is the only way to do it for now. Til we get articles added somewhere inside the game to read. May be a ways off.

Please note I know this does not look good on mobile, I'm going to recruit a bit of help with that as designing mobile friendly interfaces is way out of my wheelhouse.

It would be awesome to hear what people think about this. Suggestions for things missed, props for things that hit spot on, logs that you think would fit well in specific spots, etc.

Dav put a lot of work into this and the learning curve is rough. Let's do what we can as a community to make it better.

Where's the 7 stages of AR player for reference

There is a section of the website extension "/help" that contains a bunch of community guides, including the seven stages of mudding and various humor articles that are obviously unserious guides. Those are distractions that provide comic relief for what is ultimately a difficult game to master. I think that is the right place for them.


If there are any requests for similar styled guides on anything else, let me know and we can prioritize it.

So I just went through the second chapter of this guide. I do not agree with this phrasing regarding what the summon spell does:

"It instantly transfers you to whoever casts the spell."

To me, that implies YOU go to THEM, rather than THEM coming to YOUR room (the former is what the gate spell does, the latter accurately describes what summon does).
