Crafting

Hello all, I think I missed the update on how crafting works. So I understand there are patterns to find, and I've done a fair amount of looking around and have only managed to find two aside from the initial leather working quest. This is probably going to be something that newcomers to the game experience as well so if anyone is willing to share within reason I would appreciate it.

Vertas did you read "help crafting" yet? If there is something more specific you meant to ask let me know.

Thanks Dav, I reviewed the helpfile to make sure I wasn't asking a question that could be easily answered. So mainly my question deals with I located a stencil but it appears to create a weapon that does elemental damage and I have reason to believe it could be capable of creating a weapon (with the same stencil) that does normal damage and yet I don't see anything in the help files or when interacting with the weapon smith to achieve such a change. On a side note this gives me an idea for a wish to add to the wishlist.

Vertas the only stencils in the game are for witch carving so you have tripped over something pretty awesome. You can modify these weapons a lot, the command you are looking for is enhance. You do not have to make it do element damage
