Thanks Players.

I discovered Abandoned Realms when I was about 20.
I died right away and came back again for more albeit cautiously.
I developed an interest in running my own MUD server.
This lead to me discovering Linux which changed my play style.
Scripting my characters reactions brought me great satisfaction.
The open source software I could use brought many possibilities.
The scripting became more and more complicated until I learned.

It's just a game.

I would leave and try other games for awhile. But I always returned.
The movie never compares to the book. Other games don't do it.
At the end of the day they are just flashy images portrayed by light.
The stories and descriptions I have written and lived out in this game.
These will always be with me. Buried deep as past lives in memory.
I am not a new player. But This is my introduction. Who is deauja?

I remember introducing this game to you. I was playing in the Library and you walked past and saw the java client up. I think I was a freshman at the time.
