Do any of you alter character descriptions to reflect a change in age? Or after any big life events? Is it encouraged to change things like that? [/img]

I definitely have changed my characters' descriptions when they get older. Unless you're playing an elf or a drow, after you dump a few hundred hours into a character, I think it makes sense to make them look a bit older.

I changed caidolese des after I got executor. I find it unfortunate when people don't, and that goes for me too.

I've changed a couple characters' descriptions after significant life events for them. The one pain in the ass about that, is if you edit your description, it has to go through the approval process all over again and you're unable to submit notes until it gets approved.

I was going to ask about the approval thing. That answers that. Thanks.

I had an avian with different descriptions based on flying, or on the ground and sleeping. Obviously that got old quick

So, wrote a new description. Played for 3 hours and forgot to put it in. Awesome. Too tired to log back on. Ha.

I do it with all of my characters as they progress. For example the one I play now, I removed a particular article of her clothing, for RP purposes with one of our lovely immortals. And to have them approved again isn't the hassle it used to be since Heralds, Nobles, and I think Mystics as well can now commend your description.

High ranking Coterie members, I'm guessing.

Any coterie member. Imms will be double checking what you approve though, so don't go crazy or you won't get to have nice things.

Made me laugh. But yeah, I think I commended 1 description back on Andrael... and I know on one of my characters Beljia(the character) commended my description, it was there since before 10, I was 25 and trying to send an application in... ANYWAYS, with Andrael, I did do a desc change when I was pinnacled and like a chronicler or lore-keeper. It was set to match the custom herald/noble clothes I bought. Which I wore somewhat often too.
